Danny Dyer may be “heading down the path towards sex addiction”, say friends

The EastEnders star allegedly sent pictures of his penis to a fan shortly before marrying wife Joanne Mas

Friends and family of EastEnders star Danny Dyer believe the actor could be in danger of becoming a sex addict, The Sun  has reported.

Dyer, who plays pub landlord Mick Carter, is currently in South Africa in order to take some time off from the soap and “sort his life out”, it was reported last Friday.

An EastEnders source told The Sun that his family and friends, “realised he was on the wrong track sexually,” and is facing an intervention.

The source continued: “He has battled issues with drink and drugs – but they don’t want him to be heading down the path towards sex addiction.

“There has been incident after incident involving other women and it’s impacting his life and could cause damage to his career in the future if he doesn’t sort it out.”

A fan recently accused Dyer of sending her images of his penis through Twitter shortly before marrying his current wife Joanne Mas in September 2016.

The source added that family and friends fear Dyer may be in danger of losing his job. “EastEnders is a mainstream show aimed at a family audience and they’ve taken a hard-line previously with cast who have behaved in a manner they deem as damaging to the reputation of the show.”

Last year Dyer starred in an episode of the BBC show, Who Do You Think You Are, where he learnt he was descended from Edward III.
